Adding/Editing Users and Roles

Adding a Role

  1. To add a role, visit basilbackoffice.net and select ‘Users’ dropdown then select the ‘Roles’ tab.
  2. Select ‘+Role’ to add a new role, name the role and add a description if you would like.
  3. Select which permissions you would like the role to have.
Role Descriptions
  • APP/VOID controls the access to void Credit Card orders that have not been settled off the POS.
  • APP/REFUND controls the access to refund cash/card orders that have been processed off the POS .
  • APP/SETTLEMENT controls the access to settle off the POS.
  • APP/CASH-DRAWER controls the access to manually open the cash drawer off the POS.
  • APP/DELETE-ORDER-ITEM controls access to delete items that have been sent to a kitchen printer.
  • APP/POS-ACCESS controls access to sign into the POS. If access is restricted the user will still be able to clock in and clock out.
  • Settlement Report will email any user with this role every settlement.

Adding a User

  1. To add a user, select ‘Users’ dropdown then select the ‘Users’ tab.
  2. Select ‘+User’ to add a new user, fill out the new user’s information and select the role(s) you would like the user to have.
User Descriptions
  • Adding an email will give user access to the basilbackoffice.com, including but not limited to all reports, menu access, and user/role access.
  • Adding a pin will give user access to the Basil POS app.
