Overview
The Dejavoo P8 card reader relies on accurate date and time settings for proper transaction processing and batch settlements. Follow the steps below to set or correct the date and time on your P8 terminal.
Steps to Update Date and Time
Option 1: Enable Automatic Date & Time (Recommended)
- Tap the Menu icon or press the Home button to access the main menu.
- Select Settings (⚙️) → System Settings → Date & Time.
- Turn ON “Automatic Date & Time.”
- The P8 will automatically sync with the network when connected to Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
- Verify the Time Zone is correct for your region.
- Exit the menu to confirm the updated date and time on the display.
Option 2: Set Date & Time Manually
If automatic sync does not work:
- From the Home Screen, go to Settings → System Settings → Date & Time.
- Turn OFF “Automatic Date & Time.”
- Tap Set Date and manually input the correct date.
- Tap Set Time and manually input the correct time.
- Tap Select Time Zone and choose your local region.
- Press OK to save changes.
💡 Tip: Restart the device after manual updates to ensure the changes take effect.
Troubleshooting
If the date or time still appears incorrect:
- Ensure the device is connected to the internet (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
- Restart the terminal and recheck the settings.
- If the time resets frequently, check for updates under Settings → About → Software Update.
