1. Power On
- Plug your Basil POS device into a power outlet.
- Switch the power toggle (located at the bottom of the screen) to the right.
2. Network Connection
- Connect the POS to the same router as your kitchen printer (via WiFi or Ethernet).
- (If you don’t have a kitchen printer, skip this step.)
3. Open Application
- On the POS device, open the BasilPOS or BasilTables app.
- (If you see the PIN screen, skip to Step 5.)
4. Device Authorization
- On basilbackoffice.com, generate an authorization code.
- Use your Merchant ID and the new code to sign in to the POS.
5. User Login
- Sign in with your 4-digit passcode (provided via email or Welcome Paper).
6. Payment Terminal Setup
- Go to Settings → select your payment terminal from the drop-down.
- Tap “Sync Now” a couple of times to apply changes.
Your POS is now ready to use. Welcome to Basil!
Additional
Device Name: Add a device name (appears on kitchen printer receipts).
Printer Setup: Searching printers shows IPs on the same network; edit printer settings in the Merchant Panel.
Sync Now: Refreshes the server (useful after menu edits). (The app auto-refreshes, so syncing after every change isn’t needed.)
Accessibility Settings:
Change font size → Settings > Accessibility > Display > Font Size
